Quality
- ISO 9001
Fern obtained certification in the internationally acclaimed quality
standard for software development, support, administration and sales
& marketing. This was relatively easy to achieve because the company
had, over the last three years, carried out a review of procedures
and had introduced several innovative procedures and internal processes
to raise the level of customer care.
ISO is a non-governmental organization established in 1947. The mission
of ISO is to promote the development of standardization and related
activities in the world with a view to facilitating the international
exchange of goods and services, and to developing cooperation in the
spheres of intellectual, scientific, technological and economic activity.

I.I.P.
Investors in People is the national Standard which sets a level of
good practice for training and development of people to achieve business
goals. The Standard was developed during 1990 by the National Training
Task Force in partnership with leading national business, personnel,
professional and employee organisations such as the Confederation
of British Industry (CBI), Trades Union Congress (TUC) and the Institute
of Personnel and Development (IPD). The work was supported by the
Employment Department. The experiences of the UK's most successful
organisations, large and small, representing all sectors of the UK
economy, were very positive and the Standard received the full endorsement
of the wide range of interested parties.
