Southeast Asia
Managing Director Eamon Scullin visited Southeast Asia in May with
the purpose of visiting existing customers in Hong Kong and the Philippines,
as well as finding opportunities in Taiwan and Mainland China.
During his visit to Taiwan, Mr Scullin discussed with Mr. Hsiao
Chengxin, the chairman of Credit Union League of R.O.C (Taichung),
the possibility of introducing Cubis 2005 to the Credit Unions in
Taiwan.
It was Mr Scullin's third visit to China and he is positively seeking
opportunities to establish business relationship between Fern and
Chinese software companies, in order to expand business into the
biggest market in Asia. On his return from China, Mr Scullin commented,
"China is a tremendous market for almost every business, although
there are also certain risks there. However, with China's opening
up to the world and the entry to WTO, there will be more business
opportunities and it is worth taking the risk. I had several very
constructive meetings with Chinese software companies in Beijing
and Shanghai.
