The Abacus Model Configuration comprises sample
parameters of the System Settings and sample data for Abacus
OneWorld. This lets customers experience the new functional
upgrades as the Abacus Model Configuation is developed in
the same way as an installation at a real customer
site and is updated with every release.
The model is delivered with preconfigured
best-practice savings and loans products and processes where
appropriate. The model can subsequently adapted to the
customer's specific requirements by a Fern Support Engineer or
independent implementation partner. The Abacus Model
Configuration draws on parameterisations that have been tried and
tested in numerous implementation projects.
The Abacus Model Configuration is designed with enough variety
and flexibility to be adapted to suit different business types for
example microfinance institutions, credit unions, development
banks. This model approach gives customers a tremendous boost for
starting their own project.
Directly after installation, the Abacus Model Configuration can
be used for daily operations, enabling the customer to noticeably
reduce the time required to complete an implementation project, as
well as the costs and risks related to it.
